The Vervain person is what others would describe as tightly wound or highly strung.
Full of great ideas, they are always on a mission and want to convince others to join their cause. Because of this determination to push their ideas onto others, they are extremely draining to be around.
Similar in many ways to Impatiens, Vervain types are easily irritated when there are delays or things are not progressing as they would like.
They think, talk, move and act quickly and often impulsively.
They have huge amounts of energy which they use to push their cause, other people, and themselves.
Continues despite any obstacles, such as ill-health
Courageous, determined, and strong they are willing to take risks and make sacrifices that most would not. This includes risking relationships and their health.
Because they do not know when or how to stop, they can suffer from insomnia and are unable to rest or relax leading to muscle tension, all sorts of unexplained pains, fatigue, and exhaustion.
Of course, this is Vervain in its extreme when in reality many people exhibit Vervain-like tendencies only occasionally or to a lesser degree.
Vervain needs to convince only itself
There is much about Vervain that is of value, like its dedication, huge energy, and enthusiasm, and taking Vervain will not take those valuable traits away.
But those who take Vervain will find that their energy becomes more balanced, taking on a calm, sure, knowing aspect that does not need to push to get things done, to convince others of their rightness, or to defend their own ideas.
They will also find themselves softening and becoming more allowing of others’ ideas knowing that that does not invalidate their own. They will also be able to change their course if necessary. With this newfound flexibility, calmness, and certainty they will surely be infinitely more powerful than they were from their once rigid standpoint.
