Thank you to Jinali for her email asking me to share more about my own healing journey with using bach flowers for eczema as well as which Flower Essences I used in my eczema treatment bottle.
Bach Flower Remedies for Eczema
And of course, I am very happy to share ………..
Way back when I was attending my first classes at the Naturopathic College of New Zealand I remember clearly how excited I felt. This was after all my dream since childhood coming true.
I loved the idea of food, exercise, and lifestyle as medicine, and I could hardly wait to get started learning more about those subjects. But instead, the first thing we began learning about was Bach Flowers.
I had seen Bach Flower remedies in the health food store before, but as soon as I’d read what was on the label I had quickly moved on as I was not at all into any wishy-washy energy medicine stuff. Now, here they were again at this course that I had dreamt about. I was not pleased.
Our tutor was delightful and interesting, she gave many examples of how Bach Flowrs had helped her, her family, her clients, and even their old labrador dog, but nothing was going to sway me. I was not interested.
She then instructed us to choose some remedies for ourselves so that we could get them made up into treatment bottles to use while we were at the course.
I had been experiencing a chronic case (many years) of eczema which had not responded to any alternative treatments. I had occasionally resorted to hydrocortisone, which had worked well but the results were only temporary, so as I was unwilling to use skin-damaging treatment long-term, the eczema would always return. At some stage during the lesson, the tutor had mentioned the possibility of physical healing using bach flowers, and the example she used was eczema.
And so despite my skepticism and pessimism, I chose the remedies that my tutor had mentioned and started taking them expecting the same results – nothing.
To my utter amazement, I saw my longstanding case of red leathery-looking and itchy skin on my neck and hands disappear within a week! The cleansing continued for a few weeks after that with the release of buried emotions and also a physical detox seemed to be happening at the same time. In the next few years, the eczema returned only a couple of times when I was out of balance both physically and emotionally, but it cleared up immediately without any detoxifying effects. It has now been more than 10 years since I have experienced it.
I believe that the spectacular results I had were because my body and mind were ready to heal. Also, I had already cleaned up my diet and was improving my lifestyle. In my case Bach Flowers were the final piece of the puzzle, allowing me to let go of the thought patterns that had been the root cause of the eczema as well as releasing the physical and emotional garbage that had accumulated in my system.
Here is a list of the Bach Flower Remedies I use as a base for relief from eczema
Crab Apple
This is the cleansing part of the remedy, encouraging the release of mental and physical toxicity.
Walnut
This is added to provide protection from negativity (physical, mental, or spiritual) that may be present in the person’s environment. I have found that most people who suffer from eczema are also sensitive or empathic. Children, in particular, can be reacting to and reflecting back through their skin, what they are sensing, seeing, hearing, or experiencing around them. Walnut provides a protective energy that makes it less likely that you will be negatively impacted by what is going on around you.
I also recommend looking at the Bach Flower Remedies that I suggest for empaths and adding any that resonate with you to the mix.
Cherry Plum
This will help relieve the mental irritation and overaction to anything negative or just overwhelming that is going on in the environment. In turn, this will help to soothe itchy skin.

Adding Rescue Remedy will help to relieve general stress. Add 4 drops of this remedy.

Other flower essences can be added to the treatment bottle depending on how the individual is feeling at the time. Add no more than a total of 7 remedies to any mix that you make.

How to take your Bach Flower Remedy
Take 3 drops of your remedy on the tongue or in water, at least 3 times daily. One of those doses should be first thing in the morning and one just before going to sleep at night.
Another way to take the remedies is to add a few drops of it to a bath and you can also add it to any creams you are using to soothe the eczema.
If you use this remedy please do share the love by sharing your results in the comments
